Kyle Jester
After All This
(Self-Released)
High-energy blues mixed with the sounds of the inception of rock’n’roll, Jester and company know how to keep the listener around with soulful harmonicas, acrobatic guitar playing, harps, pianos, and even a cameo from an orchestra. Jester’s commanding voice is perfect for the genres explored here, as the band touch on the deep rooted sounds of New Orleans as well as Chicago and much more. Though it’s an album that you can tell is best experienced live, this recording really does capture and illustrate some top notch musicianship.
